Special Order for J. Huttula: Handmade Pottery Lidded Fern Green Butter Dish with Frog Handle

All of our pottery is lead free, food, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Each piece is made when you order it, usually taking 3-4 weeks depending on the volume of orders we have. The artist’s signature and year are on the bottom, letting you know that they came straight from our pottery studio to your home!

Bottom piece measures 2” tall by 6” wide.

Lid is 1 1/12” tall plus frog

Covered butter dish to leave on counter so your butter is soft and spreadable. Will hold two cubes of butter- 1/2 pound- dishwasher safe. Your handmade pottery butter dish with a lid is versatile and can be used for storing tea bags or serving butter, sauces, or jam on the table, or left by the toaster for your morning bagels and muffins. Run through the dishwasher for an easy clean up.

Safe for Everyday Use

All our pottery is designed for regular use. Each piece is lead-free and safe to use in the dishwasher and microwave.

Temperature Guidelines

Our pieces can be refrigerated or warmed in the oven. We recommend avoiding temperature shock, such as transferring pottery directly from the refrigerator to a hot oven. For best results, allow pieces to reach room temperature before baking.

Our Story

Barry launched his career in the arts by working at several pottery studios throughout California. During this time, his practical and artistic creations were featured and sold in a variety of galleries and retail locations.

In 1980, Barry embarked on a new journey with his wife Terri and their two daughters. Together, they founded Crutchfield Pottery. By traveling to art shows nationwide, they established a strong reputation for their studio.

Crutchfield Pottery has earned numerous awards for both artists and products. Notably, the studio crafted a custom handmade dinnerware set for Steven Spielberg.

A Lasting Legacy

For more than four decades, Crutchfield Pottery has brought unique, functional, and decorative pottery into homes across the United States. With over 11,000 completed orders, the studio remains dedicated to serving its customers.
